Factoring Trinomials using the Berry Method

Before using this method, I recommend that you fully understand how to FOIL and how to factor trinomials. (See math tab for more posts about polynomials and trinomals).

  4. Thanks for posting, but this method is NOT helpful. I find it troubling that the instructor responds to a question from a student with "we want to be wrong" while doing the lesson. That resonated with me that even the students were uncomfortable with the method as it was taught. I found several examples where this method does not work, and made the problems more difficult. I rather find a "tool" for a job that works for all jobs and not just a few of them - if you know what I mean.
